Privacy Policy
Draft for review. This text is an initial draft prepared for the owner and has not been reviewed or approved by a lawyer. It must be reviewed before public launch.
Brain Dump is designed to keep your thoughts private. This policy explains how the app currently handles information.
What you enter
Your thoughts, tasks, ideas, sticky notes, projects, planning choices, focus sessions and preferences are saved only in your browser’s storage on the device you use. Brain Dump has no user accounts, and this content is not sent to a Brain Dump server.
What we don’t do
- No sign-up or login.
- No syncing between devices.
- No selling or sharing of the content you enter.
- No advertising trackers in the app’s code.
Services the app relies on
To load the app, your device contacts the website host and Google Fonts (for the app’s typefaces). Like most websites, these services may receive technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request, under their own privacy policies. The hosting platform may also keep basic visit statistics. They do not receive the content you write in Brain Dump.
Your control
You can download a backup of your entries from Preferences. Clearing this site’s data in your browser permanently removes everything stored by Brain Dump on that device; it cannot be recovered by us.
Changes
If the way Brain Dump handles information changes — for example, if accounts or syncing are added — this policy will be updated before those features are released.
